No Shill Bidding
Every bid on our platform comes from a verified, registered bidder. We never inflate prices with fake bids — the competition is real, and so is the final price.
For Buyers
Four generations of fair, transparent auctions. No games, no hidden fees, no surprises — just honest competition and real market value.
Our Promise to Buyers
Every bid on our platform comes from a verified, registered bidder. We never inflate prices with fake bids — the competition is real, and so is the final price.
When an item sells, it sells. Sellers cannot secretly bid on their own equipment to drive up the price. Our process protects buyers from start to finish.
The buyer’s premium is published on every auction before you register. No hidden charges, no surprise line items. You know the total cost before you bid.
Four generations of the Musser family have built a reputation on doing right by buyers. Thousands of auctions conducted, and we plan to be here for thousands more.

No Surprises
Every Musser Bros. auction publishes its buyer’s premium and any applicable fees before registration opens. When you review the terms & conditions, you’ll see exactly what percentage applies and how your total is calculated.
The rate is listed in the auction terms before you register. Different auctions may have different rates, but it’s always disclosed upfront.
Your invoice is hammer price plus the buyer’s premium. That’s it. No admin fees, no technology surcharges, no post-auction surprises.
When you place a bid, our system shows the premium calculated on your bid amount so you know your total before confirming.
We don’t just run auctions — we stake our family name on every one. Four generations and counting.

Auction Terminology
A percentage added to the winning bid that covers auction costs. The rate is published on every auction before registration, so you always know what you’ll pay.
The final bid amount when the item sells. Your total cost is the hammer price plus the buyer’s premium.
A bid placed near closing time automatically extends the timer, typically by 45–60 seconds. This prevents last-second sniping and keeps the auction fair for everyone.
Set your maximum amount and the system bids on your behalf, only using what’s needed to stay in the lead up to your limit. Other bidders can’t see your maximum.
The minimum price a seller will accept. If bidding doesn’t reach the reserve, the item doesn’t sell. We qualify every seller and strive to set realistic reserves when used.
A bidding strategy that lets you jump the current bid straight to your target price. Some bidders use it to signal strength and discourage competing bids.
